After teaching for over 20 years, Academics University feels honored to work with children from Kindergarten through 5th Grade to help them further develop their Educational, Social, and Emotional Needs.

Mrs. Heather, our founder and main private teacher, has resided in Cape Coral for 16 years and is a loving wife and mother. After graduating from BGSU, she taught elementary grades in public and private schools. In 2009, Mrs. Heather decided to tutor one-on-one for private school students and their families. In 2015, Mrs. Heather accepted a Substitute Teaching position with the Lee County School District, which provided her with the opportunity to home-school her child for his first 6 years of life. Now that her child has successfully settled into elementary school and is thriving, Mrs. Heather is finally available to help your child reach their academic goals, reduce their stress, and regain their confidence in themselves. In turn, this will Reduce Your Stress.

As a Mother and Educator, Mrs. Heather is aware of the negative academic effects these past few years have had on our children. Here at SWFL, we have not only survived a worldwide Pandemic; We are re-building our “New Normal” Again after surviving Hurricane Ian and dealing with the aftermath. Our children have suffered through this by losing Structure, Educational, and Socialization time with their Teachers and Peers. There is only so much teachers can do in a classroom full of students, interruptions, and time constraints throughout the seven hours they have your child on scheduled school days. Every teacher we know and work with would Love to help each student in their classroom succeed by creating individual lesson plans and instruction time. However, with 25 students being the base average per class, it simply is not an option they can provide.
